There's something for everyone this weekend — Shakespeare under the stars, anime and cosplay, battle re-enactments and Queen Victoria's Diamond Jubilee.

Saturday, June 4

Courtyard Shakespeare Festival: Much Ado About Nothing / Richard III

Time: 8:00 p.m.

Location: California Baptist University

California Baptist University’s outdoor Shakespeare festival is back after a two-year hiatus, featuring “Much Ado About Nothing” on Friday nights and “Richard III” on Saturday nights through June 18. Tickets are available at the CBU website.

Magnolia Center Marketplace

Time: 4:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.

Location: Sunnyside Drive near The Plaza

Cost: Free

The first and third Saturdays of each month through October 15, a group of vendors gather on Sunnyside Drive selling arts and crafts, collectibles and fresh food items, with a beer garden and music. Learn more at their website.

Anime Riverside 2022

Time: 10:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m. Sat.; 10:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Sun.

Location: Riverside Convention Center

Cost: $30 – $50

Anime fans and cosplayers can let their inner geek run wild over two days at the Riverside Convention Center, with Nerd Karaoke, anime and cosplay panels, stage performances, live music, 250 artists and vendors, celebrity guests, food, games, panels and a carnival. The Grand Encampment at Flabob Airport

Time: 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.; 6:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m. (dance) Sat.; 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. Sun.

Military and history buffs will feel right at home at this two-day event featuring U.S. battle re-enactments from 1975 to 1975, living history camps, vintage cars and aircraft, a 1940s-era big band dance at the Victory Canteen, and more. Visit the website for tickets and more information.

Queen’s Jubilee Tea Party

Time: 3:00 p.m.

Location: Marmalade Manor

Cost: $40

The Riverside Dickens Festival invites you to celebrate Queen Victoria’s diamond jubilee with the Queen and her court at a three-course afternoon tea and Victorian fashion show. Tickets can be purchased here.

New and Renewing CPR / First Aid Classes

Time: 8:00 a.m. – 9:30 a.m.

Location: Riverside Medical Clinic – Sports Clinic
