Riverside Arts Academy’s City of Love Art of Giving Gala

A silent and live auction will support Riverside Arts Academy music and arts programming, celebrating the organization’s anniversary! City of Love will be the theme, as RAA’s success has been a labor of love by so many committed individuals and community organizations.

Mission Inn Run

The Mission Inn Run, a signature Riverside event and key fundraiser for the Mission Inn Foundation, has been a Southern California Tradition for more than 40 years. Proceeds support the nonprofit Mission Inn Foundation and Museum.

Civil Rights Institute Opening Ceremony

Time: 5:00 p.m.- Doors open, 5:30 p.m. – Program begins

The Civil Rights Institute is a permanent center for the celebration and defense of civil rights. Join for free to be part of a historic evening with keynote address by Tommie Smith, Olympic gold medalist and civil rights activist, unveiling of the Walk of Fame and the opening of the inaugural exhibition: “Still I Rise: The Black IE Fight for Justice”

Riverside Philharmonic “Boats Against the Current” Concert

Time: 7:30 – 9:30 p.m.
Location: RCC Coil School for the Arts, 3890 University Ave.

The program will feature great musicians of the orchestra in an intimate setting, playing pieces from the 20th and 21st centuries by Paul Hindemith, Witold Lutoslawski, Tomasz Golka and Mozart’s Gan Paartita.

Tombstone Cinema: “The Nightmare Before Christmas”

Time: 7:00 – 9:30 p.m.
Location: Evergreen Memorial Historic Cemetery, 4414 14th Street

Come spook and treat into the holiday “spirit” and join in the fun at the cemetery for a screening of “The Nightmare Before Christmas.” Rated PG.
