The founder of Riverside’s civil engineering firm Woodard Group, Andrew Woodard, was recognized by the Greater Riverside Chambers of Commerce and Riverside Business Week as the Emerging Entrepreneur of the Year.
“I think the biggest thing about receiving this award is that it’s the recognition that all of the hard work, sleepless nights and sacrifices have actually paid off,” Woodard said.
The company opened its doors in August 2018 and has steadily grown since. One of their recent jobs was a project for Dixieline Lumber & Truss on Durahart St. and Massachusetts Ave. Now, they are working with Greens Ehrenberg, LLC on the potential project to construct a downtown AC Marriott-Residence Inn should it be approved by the city council.
“In the next year, I’d like to make sure and continue to provide the same customer service to my clients now that we’re even busier and construction is happening all over the place,” Woodard said.
