Sentenced to 57 Days in work release program, Cervantes also ordered to install ignition interlock and pay fine.
Clarissa Cervantez, Ward 2 Councilmember and a candidate in the open-seat race for Assembly District 58, pleaded guilty to Driving Under the Influence on Wednesday, August 30, 2023.
According to court records, Cervantes is sentenced to 57 days in a work release program, which she must report to on or before September 15, 2023. Additionally, Cervantes must install an ignition interlock, also known as an in-car breathalyzer, by September 25, 2023, and pay a fine of $1,948.
Cervantes was arrested by the California Highway Patrol (CHP) on Saturday, July 1, 2023, on charges of driving under the influence. On May 9, 2023, Cervantes petitioned for the dismissal of a 2015 DUI conviction.
