The retail home to over 180 different makers, MADE is a unique, Riverside-inspired emporium selling the most creative and curious finds in town, from apparel to furniture. Every second Saturday MADE gives back to the community through its shop-for-a-cause program. This Saturday, February 11, Riverside Meals on Wheels will be the beneficiary.
“The weekend before Valentine’s Day is always one of our biggest weekends of the year,” said Rico Alderette speaking candidly, “for a small business owner, weekends like these make all the difference. It is tempting to skip a month with our shop-for-a-cause program, but we are sticking to it because we want to make a difference in Riverside.”
Riverside Meals on Wheels is a local non-profit organization who depends on financial contributions to help cover the cost of home-delivered meals for seniors and other housebound residents. In 2022, while celebrating its 50th anniversary, the organization drove over 110,300 miles to serve more than 30,000 meals with the help of its staff, donors, and volunteer drivers.
