The Mayor’s Ball for the Arts returns to the Main Library on Saturday, March 23, 2024. The Mayor’s Ball has been around, in various forms, for 40(ish) years. After a few year break, this year’s “return” is a throwback to the grand parties of decades past. The city’s best chefs, visual artists, authors, and musicians will represent the full range of arts in Riverside.
The Mayor’s Ball celebrates the city’s commitment to artists and the beauty their service provides to our community. It is more than a reason to get out of the house, eat great food, and listen to live music. It is a chance for formal recognition by the art community and the city. The Riverside Arts Council collected nominations for excellence in various categories. Awards will be given as part of the festivities.
Chase Sponseller of Mud Hut Pottery Studio said of his nomination, “We are absolutely astonished by the support from the Riverside community in nominating us as one of the best Art Facilities for the Mayor’s Ball. Having been born and raised here in Riverside, we are humbled to be recognized for such a prominent award in the art community. We look forward to continuing our journey in cultivating a space where clay exploration can be fostered, and lives can be shaped in the process.”
More information: The Ball will be at the Main Library at 3900 Mission Inn Avenue on Saturday, March 23, 2024, from 6–9 p.m. Tickets are available at riversideartscouncil.com/mayors-ball
