Neighbor of the Week: Michael J. Elderman
Each week, we will introduce a new neighbor. This is not a who's who list. These are regular Riversiders doing exceptional things.
The enduring Riverside theater troupe is wrapping up its 99th season.
Riverside Community Players is a hidden gem in the purest sense. Tucked within the Riverside Community Hospital complex, the small brick building may go unnoticed, even on one of the most well-traveled corners in town. The building may not be easy to find, but what they do there is no secret.
RCP is among the longest-enduring Riverside institutions. It has been showing locally produced and cast plays since 1925. It keeps an ambitious schedule and presents high-quality productions on its intimate Theater-In-The-round stage. RCP is wrapping up its season with more shows before opening its 100th season this summer.
On April 19, RCP will premiere Ken Ludwig’s The Gods of Comedy, a situational comedy featuring the funnier members of the Greek Pantheon. The theater is at 4026 14th Street; tickets are available at the Riverside Community Players website.
