For 17 years, the Riverside Youth Council (RYC) has awarded 25 of the city’s teenagers, “Most Remarkable Teen.”
On Tuesday, in a ceremony hosted in the Riverside City Council Chambers, RYC recognized this year’s honorees. RYC was founded in 2004 and is coordinated in partnership between the mayor’s office and the Riverside Police Department. The youth council was established to give Riverside students an opportunity to develop leadership abilities and use their voice to plan public policies that affect the lives of young Riversiders.
Over the next several weeks, we will highlight this year’s “Most Remarkable Teens” who were awarded for their excellence in academics, athletics, arts and culture, community involvement, leadership and other notable achievements.
