Neighbor of the Week: Michael J. Elderman
Each week, we will introduce a new neighbor. This is not a who's who list. These are regular Riversiders doing exceptional things.
Route 30's has grown up into the former home of Wicks Brewing Co.
Route 30 Brewing Company, a standout presence in Riverside's craft beer scene, is set to unveil its new main production facility in the city. Established in 2016, the brewery has been a significant player in the Inland Empire's craft beer community.
The grand opening is scheduled for November 11, 2023, with festivities running from 2 p.m. to 11 p.m. The celebration will kick off with a 2 p.m. ribbon-cutting ceremony, marking the official opening of the new location. KCAL will broadcast live on-site from 2:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m., providing event coverage. Local band Native Crow will provide live music from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m.
During the event, Route 30 will introduce two special release collaboration beers: 30 Shades of Grey Italian Pilsner and Backseat Wrestling West Coast IPA. Attendees will also have the opportunity to participate in raffles with a chance to win cash prizes and exclusive brewery experiences.
The new facility affords Route 30 an in-house kitchen with a beer-perfect menu that includes smash burgers, fish and chips, and chicken wings. Guests can enjoy their food and beer in the spacious taproom or beer garden, which features lawn games and picnic table seating.
Since 2016, owners Eric Brummell and Tom Creely have solidified Route 30 Brewing's reputation as one of California's top 10 craft breweries, as recognized by Yelp. The address for the grand opening is 11620 Sterling Avenue, Suite C, Riverside, CA 92503, the new central production location for Route 30 Brewing Company.
