Highlanders and Lancers softball both start the season with busy schedules and a Wednesday prime time rivalry game.
UCR and CBU softball teams are gearing up for a packed first week of competition. The Highlanders face seven games in five days, including a Saturday doubleheader against West Point. Tickets can be found here.
Across town, the Lancers have five games in three days. CBU's schedule features a Friday afternoon clash with the nation's No. 2 ranked Oklahoma Sooners and a Sunday Noon matchup against Army. The Lancers and the Highlanders play each other on Wednesday, February 12, in a prime-time 6 p.m. matchup. Tickets for the Army and crosstown rivalry game can be found here.
Congratulations to Poly and Norte Vista on their first-round victories! Poly will face Buena in Ventura, and Norte Vista will face Heritage in Menifee. Good luck to both teams!
Here's a rundown of all the Riverside school's first-round matches.
The regular season is finished. The Arlington/Poly rivalry was all Lions this year. Both teams have made post-season playoffs. You can look forward to a complete rundown of Riverside schools next week after the brackets are set on Feb 8. If you do not want to wait, Boys and Girls Soccar and Basketball brackets will be available at the CIF website this Saturday.
