City Council
City Council will meet in closed and open sessions on Tuesday, February 27, 2024, in afternoon sessions at 1:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m. and an evening session at 6:15 p.m. (agenda). The agenda includes:
- Updating street sweeping parking enforcement policies, including allowing first-time tickets to be appealed and reduced to a warning and pausing penalties during the Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year holidays.
- Officially receiving $3 million in funds from a U.S. Department of Homeland Security grant.
- A public hearing on the proposed development of four homes on a 5.74-acre site in the Alessandro Heights neighborhood.
- Consider adding a Disability Pride Month flag to the City's commemorative flag schedule.
- Consider approving a study of Mayor and City Councilmember compensation through a Charter Review Committee.
Housing and Homelessness Committee
The Housing and Homelessness Committee meets on Monday, February 26, at 3:30 p.m. (agenda) to discuss establishing a trust fund to support affordable housing and plans to apply for over $20 million in a grant partnership with the County.
Board of Public Utilities
The Board of Public Utilities meets on Monday, February 26, at 6:30 p.m. (agenda) to discuss the City's plan for handling recycled water.
Community Police Review Commission
The Community Police Review Commission meets on Wednesday, February 28, at 5:30 p.m. (agenda) to finish its initial review of an officer-related death case.
