City Council
City Council will meet in closed and open sessions on Tuesday, Feb. 4, in an afternoon session at 3:00 p.m. and an evening session at 6:15 p.m. (agenda). The agenda includes:
- Receiving $9.3 million in grants to make streets safer in western neighborhoods, bringing new bike lanes, improved crosswalks, and traffic calming features to the Arlington, La Sierra, Arlanza, and Ramona areas.
- Considering updating mobile home rent control rules to cap annual increases between 2-5%, add tenant protections, and require more transparency from park owners.
Park and Recreation Commission
The Park and Recreation Commission meets on Monday, Feb. 3, at 6:30 p.m. (agenda) for a presentation on the upcoming Booker T. Washington Tablet Dedication on Mt. Rubidoux and other businesses.
Governmental Processes Committee
The Governmental Processes Committee (Councilmembers Falcone, Perry, and Conder) meets on Wednesday, Feb. 5, at 9:00 a.m. (agenda) to review the City's Sunshine Ordinance which sets rules for notice and community engagement for public meetings.
Transportation Board
The Transportation Board meets on Wednesday, Feb. 5, at 5:30 p.m. (agenda) to consider a request for speed humps along Maude Street between Lincoln Avenue and Marguerita Avenue.
Board of Ethics
The Board of Ethics meets on Thursday, Feb. 6, at 5:00 p.m. (agenda) for regular business.
