Chief of Police Larry Gonzalez provides a staffing and crime statistics update
City Council will meet in closed and open sessions Tuesday, June 20. Leading the agenda is Chief of Police Larry Gonzalez with a presentation on the state of the police department and its $147 million budget.
The update focuses mainly on staffing diversity levels and 2022 crime statistics. RPD currently has 349 sworn officers, an increase of one since an update in February, and 82 vacancies.
