According to a report from the City Attorney, this will “ensure compliance with AB 361 and allows the continued utilization of teleconferencing without having to publish each location from which a member attends via teleconference and granting physical access of that location to the public.”

The committee, comprised of councilmembers Cervantes, Perry, and Conder to address “providing high quality municipal services [that] ensure a safe, inclusive, and livable community, will be receiving a process update on the City’s redistricting process which began in August and completed its final community workshop on October 29.
Riverside City Charter Section 402 requires City Council, by ordinance, to divide the city boundaries into seven wards, review the boundary limits of the wards every ten years, and adjust, by ordinance, those boundaries to provide for a substantially equal number of residents in each Ward.

The Board of Ethics will receive a written Statement of Findings and Decision of October 6, 2022, Hearing Panel, regarding a Code of Ethics complaint by Jennifer Larratt-Smith against Councilmember Conder. The complaint was dismissed.
