Housing and Homelessness Committee

The Housing and Homelessness Committee of Councilmembers Cervantes, Mill, and Robillard meets on Monday, September 23, at 3:30 p.m. (agenda) and will consider amendments to the Mobile Home Parks Rent Stabilization Ordinance, primarily to cap annual rent increases and enhance tenant protections.

Board of Public Utilities

The Board of Public Utilities meets on Monday, September 23, at 6:30 p.m. (agenda) and will consider recommending that the City Council authorize and accept a $959,752 federal grant to help fund RPU's PFAS Treatment Project, which aims to remove PFAS compounds from the city's drinking water to meet new EPA standards by 2029.

Community Police Review Commission

The Community Police Review Commission meets on Wednesday, September 25, at 5:30 p.m. (agenda) to continue its review of an officer-involved death case, preparing for a public report set to be presented on October 23, 2024.

Planning Commission

The Planning Commission meets on Thursday, September 26, at 9:00 a.m. (agenda) to consider a new 7-Eleven convenience store and gas station on Van Buren Blvd, one block north of the 91 westbound entrance.

Human Relations Commission

The Human Relations Commission meets on Thursday, September 26, at 6:00 p.m. (agenda) to discuss submitting a memo to the City Council "to express its deep disappointment" in last week's repeal of the City's commemorative flag policy.

Commission on Disabilities

The Commission on Disabilities meets on Thursday, September 19, at 5:30 p.m. (agenda) for presentations from the Aquamotion Ability Foundation and about a new Autism Certified City Initiative.
