Jessica Qattawi has announced her candidacy for Mayor of Riverside, challenging Mayor Patricia Lock Dawson's bid for a second term. Qattawi is the founder of NV Media, an advertising firm in downtown Riverside, where she hosts the "What's Up Inland Empire" podcast, spotlighting local businesses and community leaders. She also serves on the board of The Unforgettables Foundation.
On her policy agenda, Qattawi aims to support local businesses and attract new industries to Riverside, focusing on job growth as part of her economic development plan. "Riverside is home to a community of smart and hard-working individuals, all deserving of having their concerns addressed, and I am eager to listen to your voices," Qattawi said.
Public safety is also a significant component of her campaign. She plans to collaborate with law enforcement agencies and community organizations to maintain a secure environment and address Riverside's homelessness crisis.
